The Corporate Income Tax Senior Analyst will work closely with the Income Tax Manager and Income Tax Director to enhance the department's capabilities due to ever-increasing compliance requirements of the Federal and State governments. The Income Tax Senior is responsible for preparing and maintaining tax books and records in accordance with Federal, State, and Local tax laws in support of the income tax provision and tax return filings. Their goal is to ensure the technical accuracy and completeness of tax records to minimize the risk of an audit. They will work to identify areas of improvement to increase the efficiency of the tax department, assist with tax planning strategies, and research current tax laws, regulations, and technical tax memorandums. They are also expected to familiarize themselves with proposed tax legislation and regulations and determine what impact these might have on the organization if enacted.

 

What you will do: 

  • Collaborate with Income Tax Management to enhance the department's capabilities to meet increasing compliance requirements. 
  • Responsible for preparing and maintaining tax books and records in accordance with Federal, State, and Local tax laws, specifically for the annual income tax provision, journal entries, and the annual footnotes.
  • Prepare monthly tax account reconciliations, obtain and review tax data from Operating Companies for compliance, and work closely with our external tax firm to gather information for accurate income tax return filings.
  • Prepare calculations and forms for tax extensions and quarterly estimated payments.
  • Review and respond to tax notices. 
  • Participate in the integration of newly acquired Operating Companies.
  • Research tax laws and regulations. Remain updated on current tax laws, regulations, and technical tax memorandums.

 

What you will bring: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting; MBA a plus
  • 4-5 years Corporate federal and multi state tax preparation experience, Public preferred
  • Knowledgeable in tax provision preparation and OneSource Tax Provision software
  • Experience with tax fixed asset depreciation
  • Transfer pricing knowledge a plus
  • Ability to research federal and state tax issues
  • Experience with MS Excel, Power Point and Word.
  • CPA a plus, though not required.
